The People Who Move US

Meet the Heart Behind Spoke Club

There’s the music, the movement, the lights, and the sweat. There are the people, the culture, the mindset, and the post-workout high. And, of course, there’s the energy in the room when everyone locks into the same rhythm.

But at the heart of every great class at Spoke Club is something much more human: the person leading it.

This month, we’re celebrating the instructors who bring Spoke Club to life. They motivate us, challenge us, make us laugh, and somehow convince us that, yes, we absolutely have another round in us.

They’re also a pretty remarkable group of people beyond the studio.

For Spoke Club owner Brooke, building this team has been about much more than finding talented instructors. After spending more than 20 years of her career focused on talent acquisition and team building, Brooke knows that skills can be developed, but some qualities simply have to come from within.

“Surrounding yourself with top talent who bring 110% each day is initially strategic, and when done right, it quickly turns into a huge blessing. Because drive isn’t something you can ask for. Someone either has it or they don’t.”

And this team has it.

“They motivate me every day to be better in and out of the studio,” Brooke says. “They bring leadership, confidence, commitment, grace and a huge heart with them every time they walk through the door.”

Those qualities are shared, but the personalities behind them couldn't be more individual. And that's part of what makes the Spoke Club community what it is.

So, this month, we want you to get to know the people behind the classes a little better.

Sarah: Always in Motion

If you’ve spent time with Sarah, you probably won’t be surprised to learn that her definition of downtime still involves a fair amount of movement.

Trail running, mountain biking and dog agility are all on the list. She also plays guitar, volunteers her time walking shelter dogs and (perhaps most importantly) is working on the art of “living in the now.”

When she isn't at Spoke Club, Sarah's passion for health and wellness continues through her work offering private Pilates sessions and Seqex ICR Therapy.

She also offers Life Force Frequency treatments, including frequency facials and skin-rejuvenation services.

Whether she’s on the trails, working with dogs, helping clients or bringing her energy to Spoke Club, there seems to be a common thread: movement, wellness and making the most of the moment.

Meli: Small Country, Big Energy

Originally from Luxembourg, one of the smallest countries in the world, Meli brings a wealth of experience, passion and a whole lot of heart to the Spoke Club community.

Before making the move to Costa Rica, Meli spent 11 years as an elementary school teacher, a background that speaks to her natural ability to guide, encourage and inspire others.

These days, she's traded the traditional classroom for a different kind of learning environment, where movement, strength, and personal growth take centre stage.

In addition to teaching elevated indoor cycling classes, Meli offers Functional Fitness, Yoga, Pilates, Personal Training, and Nutrition and Habit Coaching, both in person and online. Her approach brings together the fundamentals of movement, education and the everyday habits that help people feel their best.

From Luxembourg to Costa Rica, from teaching young minds to inspiring active lifestyles, Meli's journey is a wonderful reminder that great teachers don't just share knowledge. They inspire people to discover what they're capable of.

Missy: Strong, Social & Always Up for a Workout

Missy brings the kind of energy to Spoke Club that doesn’t disappear when class ends.

When she’s not instructing, you might find her fishing, playing softball or pickleball, working out, or simply spending time with friends and family.

Fitness is also very much a part of her life outside the studio. Missy hosts HIIT classes from her home three days a week, giving people another way to get moving, build strength and challenge themselves.

And because apparently one career isn’t enough, she’s also a hairstylist serving clients of all ages.

It’s a combination that actually makes a lot of sense when you know Missy: people, movement, connection and plenty of energy.

Whether there’s a workout, a pickleball paddle, a fishing rod or a pair of scissors in her hand, she brings that same enthusiasm with her.

Laura: Proof That There Are More Than 24 Hours in a Day

Originally from Venezuela, Laura has built a life that could make even the most dedicated multitasker wonder how she does it.

She works full-time in the tech industry. She’s currently completing her bachelor’s degree. She’s raising three kids.

And, of course, she teaches at Spoke Club.

Somewhere in there, Laura also finds time to volunteer teaching computer classes to elementary school children, sharing her professional knowledge with the next generation.

When she does find a little space in that schedule, she loves exploring, adventuring and diving into new experiences.

Laura’s story is a pretty incredible example of the qualities Brooke sees throughout the Spoke team: commitment, confidence, leadership and heart.

She isn't simply balancing different parts of her life. She’s finding ways to bring something meaningful to each of them.

Different People. One Incredible Team.

Sarah, Meli, Missy, Laura, and all the other outstanding instructors who take the instructor’s seat at Spoke Club each bring something completely different with them when they walk through the doors.

Different backgrounds. Different interests. Different careers. Different personalities.

And that's exactly the point.

As Brooke puts it, their “individually unique and beautiful personalities have come together to offer our Spoke community an experience like no other.”

A great instructor can teach you the movements.

A special one can change the energy in the room.

They know when to push. When to encourage. When to turn up the music. When you’ve got more to give, even if you're convinced you don't.

And over time, those individual moments create something bigger: a community.

That’s what we’re celebrating this month.

The instructors who show up with 110%.

The personalities that make every class a little different.

The leaders who inspire us inside the studio while living some pretty inspiring lives outside of it.

Best of all?

This team is still growing.

We can’t wait for you to meet who—and what—comes next.

Live Fit. Love Life.
